The Government of Mauritius has given the permission for the setting up of the 40-seat Dental College, Dental Hospital and Oral Research Institute in Mauritius.

The college is affiliated with the Bhavnagar University – Bhavnagar University is an institution recognized by the Medical Council of India is under the purview of university Grants Commission, India

Bhavnagar University is a member of the Association of India universities which is the apex co ordination body that has served the universities over seven decades. Its member embraces all types of institutions viz, traditional universities, agriculture universities, institutes of national importance institutes of technology and those devoted to medical education and research. The University of Mauritius is an associate member of the association of India universities.

Bhavnagar University is running all the major courses I n Education University is running gall the major courses in education with more than 19,000 students and 900 teaching
The University has also many colleges and institutions within its ambit rendering education in various fields.

The infrastructure and the facilities of the college have been created as per the guidelines of the dental council of UK, USA and South Africa has also been taken into consideration in drafting the course curriculum of the college.

The college will be applying for recognition with the dental council of India, UK, USA and South Africa after the completion of the 4th year of the first batch as this is the regular procedure of the Dental Councils across the globe.
